Wyatt Weed & Gayle Gallagher are married and have been doing production together since 2005.
At Pirate Pictures, we specialize in creating compelling, heartfelt videos for non-profits and businesses. About 90% of our work focuses on documentary-style interviews that celebrate honorees, showcase the impact of organizations, and inspire action. Whether it’s a fundraising gala piece, an educational museum series, or a corporate training video, we craft stories that connect with audiences on an emotional level.
We take pride in the projects that make a difference. Recent standout work includes a powerful video for the Metro East Humane Society and a compelling series for the Holocaust Museum, helping audiences understand history in a deeply personal way. Our approach has evolved to focus on the core of each story, tailoring interviews to bring out the strongest message—whether it’s to educate, inspire, or drive donations.
We’re not a cookie-cutter production company. We’re relationship builders. Our casual, down-to-earth style means we work best with clients who value collaboration over corporate formality. By building long-term partnerships, we create an archive of footage that evolves with our clients' needs. Many of them return year after year because they trust us—not just to capture their stories, but to help tell them in the most powerful way possible.
While commercial projects keep the lights on, storytelling is at the heart of what we do. Our latest film, Dark at the Top of the Stairs, is a true passion project, shot largely by just the two of us during the pandemic. We always have ideas for new films, and a short project is on the horizon. Working with clients allows us to flex our creative muscles while fueling our personal storytelling ambitions.
With decades of experience in film and video production, we’ve honed our ability to tell powerful stories—whether for the big screen or the non-profit world. From feature films to corporate branding and fundraising videos, we bring both creativity and technical expertise to every project.
Gayle is the producer and interviewer, setting up schedules, making connections, and bringing out the best in people on camera. Wyatt has the production eye—he walks into a space and instantly knows how to light and frame the perfect shot. Together, we edit and shape each piece, listening deeply to craft meaningful, impactful stories.
Gayle always says her goal in life is to "save the world"—and while we can’t do that alone, we can amplify the voices of those who are. Pirate Pictures is dedicated to helping organizations that make a difference by telling their stories in the most engaging and effective way possible.
If you need a video that moves people, educates them, or inspires them to take action, we’d love to help. Let’s create something meaningful together.
